#48711 --enable-gcc-warnings flag for configure
Closed: wontfix Opened by firstyear.

We should create and maintain a set of warnings for gcc that can help us to improve and identify code issues in DS. These will be useful in CI/Jenkins and on personal development systems to help maintain high quality code. Some of these are enabled, but we should consider:

gcc < 6:
-Wextra

gcc >= 6:
-Wlogical-op
-Wduplicated-cond
-Wshift-overflow=2
-Wnull-dereference

Could it be in a configure option or "LDFLAGS=..." in the spec file uesd by CI/Jenkins?

I'm a bit afraid too noisy "configure" could break the official build as we experienced...

I realised we don't need this, so I'm removing it.
