When running in verbose mode FedoraReview should not run mock --quiet
mock --quiet
fedora-review -vb912596 calls mock with --quiet:
fedora-review -vb912596
mock
--quiet
['mock', '--no-cleanup-after', '--no-clean', '--resultdir=/home/kojan/review/912596-maven-shared-resources/results', '--quiet', '--shell', 'rpm --eval \\"%rhel %fedora %_build_arch %_arch\\"']
Just as a note, I don't want --quiet mainly because it triggers a bug in mock: http://bugzilla.redhat.com/912624
To change this not to use '--quiet' is somewhat cumbersome, since it then will be required to parse the output to get the actual result.
Now given the upstream mock fix for bz 912624 and also fixes for #208 which makes this call more seldom used (if ever) I'd say that bug is not longer relevant.
Or?
Mikolaj: given that 912624 is fixed, can we drop this bug? Unfortunately, there seem to be no easy fix...
I still believe that in verbose mode full mock outoput should be printed. But if there are any technical problems with that you are free to close this request.
Agreed, it would probably be better to not use --quiet when running in 'verbose'. But since there actually are technical problems (output must be parsed) I close this bug.
If you still think this is important, patches are as always welcome. To parse that output should not be that hard, I just don't feel the effort is justified given the overall situation.
Thanks for reporting this, it's definitely worth some thought. Closing bug for now, feel free to reopen (especially if you have a patch :) )
