There is plan to extend integration test suite written in pytest.
We generate code coverage with the utility lcov + genhtml
but it does not include these tests.

I was also thinking about this. We can combine the "DEBUG" and the "COVERAGE" build and see how much longer a coverage-instrumented build takes to run through all the tests. Perhaps we can do that.
