After getting rid of the ping infrastructure, we need to make sure the diag_cmd option still works. It should be used from the watchdog code, instead of the monitor.

It turns out that the option can't be moved and should be removed completely. There is a patch on the list, but we need to release 1.14.1 soon, therefore moving to 1.14.2.
