SSSD does not create /var/lib/sss/deskprofile and fails to download the profile if the directory is not present when a desktop profile is available for the user logging in.
It is not bug in upstream only in fedora
sh# rpm -q sssd sssd-1.15.4-0.20170909.1838.gitdee665060.master.fc27.x86_64 sh# rpm -qf /var/lib/sss/deskprofile sssd-common-1.15.4-0.20170909.1838.gitdee665060.master.fc27.x86_64
I wonder how could you gave a karma to such broken build https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/sssd-1.15.3-3.fc26#comment-654602 :-) :-) :-)

Hey! Well, the karma was given because I had already the directory and updated the package from a COPR build that already created it. Because of that I did not noticed the problem until now that I removed the folder by hand. :)
