I'd like to request travel funding to attend FOSDEM in order to represent the Fedora Project. I have been part of FOSDEM for the last three years, helping at the booth and replying to various questions. In Fedora, I contribute to different teams like D&I, CommOps, L10n and also mentoring students for GSoC and GCI. Apart from helping at the booth and replying questions, I would also like to get feedback from people regarding our community: for example, if they are contributors and how active they are, how easy is for them to contribute and join a new team etc. in order to understand what barriers have people when they try to join our community and how D&I team can improve this. Also, I will promote/explain to the students (and not only) our participation in GSoC and Outreachy, as a way to get involved in Fedora and do great things in our community.
Expenses: Bus Brno - Prague: 11 EUR Flight PRG - BRU: 70 EUR Flight BRU - TIA: 100 EUR Total: ~181 EUR
+1, Jona is very active and she participated last year as well.
From a quick look I saw that there are flights between TIA and BRU (with Austrian) for 170€, which are way more convenient and even cheaper than taking a bus from Prague.
@mitzie I will be in Brno before coming to FOSDEM, and I can fly from Vienna or Prague to Brussels. Prague it's a cheaper option compared to flights from Vienna. Last year I had the same itinerary. The flight back will be to Tirana.
