The current OCSPClient is not validating the response received from the responder. According to the spec (see 4.2.2.2 Authorized Responders in https://www.ietf.org/rfc/rfc2560.txt):

Systems or applications that rely on OCSP responses MUST be capable
of detecting and enforcing use of the id-ad-ocspSigning value as
described above.

This is only needed by ticket #1202.
