Closed: wontfix by edewata. Opened by edewata.

* https://m.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:MarkdownExtraParser

This will help transition into Markdown-based docs hosted on GitHub.

Currently there is no production-ready Markdown extension for MediaWiki:
https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Requests_for_comment/Markdown

The alternative solution is to add Markdown documents into the source repository, then embed them in MediaWiki using the following extension:
https://github.com/JeroenDeDauw/GitHub

Markdown docs should be added directly into GitHub.
