Badge description (like "You added a co-maintainer to a package. BFF!"): - You built "XYZ" amount of modules!
-This idea generated at Flock lightning talks 2018. Make a series similar to this -> https://badges.fedoraproject.org/badge/building-the-outer-ring-copr-build-i but for module builds. Feel free to provide more relevant information as I was given simply one line about the idea :)
Help the badges team understand what this idea is all about. If this badge is awarded for certain kinds of activities:
1) What are those activities? - Building modules
2) Who is doing them (are they packagers? translators? newcomers? veterans? users? sponsors?) - developers
3) Why are they doing them (is this a means to a different end?) - AFAIK, they do them to allow different versions of software languages to run/work co-currently
4) When do they do them (every day? once a year?) - ?? Unclear to me. Please feel free to edit this field.
5) How do they do them (by talking in IRC? by running commands in the console? by using a web interface?) - console
Lastly, do you have any ideas for artwork concepts? - Maybe remix the artwork for the member badge.. adding more blocks as the numbering increases https://badges.fedoraproject.org/badge/modularity-wg-member
We have a fedmsg for this, right?

@riecatnor do you know what the numbering could be? 1-10-50-100? Or smaller? Who can be the contact person to ask questions - who did you talk to? Thanks :)

Here's version 1 for the badge. We can put more modules in it as numbering increases. How many will there be?
@mleonova great start! I think the artwork is missing some contrast... all the colors are gorgeous, but all very bright and saturated. Try making the background a bit lighter? Also, could be nice to have the bricks be two different colors. What does the arrow represent?

Hi, @riecatnor I am willing to contribute in this badge. I have a concept in mind can we discuss?
Metadata Update from @riecatnor: - Issue assigned to nimrafayyaz (was: mleonova)
Hi, @riecatnor I have created these concepts for module builder badge. Please review these and leave some points how to make it better :)
Thank you
@nimrafayyaz this is a great start! Something important to keep in mind is that the badges are usually always viewed at a small size, so we want to keep things as simple as we can while getting the message across. I would say its best to make the focus the panda or the blocks, make sense? The panda is more interesting to me, I think you can play up it's construction look.
Here are some improvements I would suggest - remove "module" and "modules", the description of the badge will be enough to describe that it is about modules - move the number to the upper right hand side - make the panda bigger - give the hard hat a stroke of 1.5 pixel or greater - plump up the pandas arms - I really like the blocks used here, maybe try to incorporate those: https://badges.fedoraproject.org/badge/modularity-wg-member
I look forward to the next draft! Thanks :)
Thanks @riecatnor for the suggestions. I will follow these and back with new draft soon :)
Hi @riecatnor here is updated draft according to your suggestions. Please let me know if still needs improvement. :)
THANK YOU
Hi @nimrafayyaz I like the improvements! Here are a couple more thoughts
Good luck :)
It seems you have pasted wrong refrence link of badge @riecatnor
@riecatnor no worries I managed somehow. I take refrences from fedora badges page. In this draft I have 1. tried to plump up the panda. 2. added white stroke on both panda and blocks so they look similar
Also uploading svgs :D
Let me know if it works
Thank you :)
Hi @nimrafayyaz hmm, sorry for the wrong link (as much as cats on foil is great). I meant this one: https://badges.fedoraproject.org/badge/neurofedora-sig-member
A couple notes: - I think a white stroke is unnecessary here. Not sure which badge you are referencing for that. - The panda still needs BULK hahah. Check out the link I sent. Do you see what I mean? If not, I can demonstrate :) - The numbering looks good for now - The blocks, hmmmm. I would like to seem them without a white stroke.
Thanks!
@riecatnor Ahh! great, You love cats, So do I :D
I was using this badge for reference https://badges.fedoraproject.org/badge/building-the-outer-ring-copr-build-i
Although I have removed white strokes But I think one around the blocks was looking good what do you say ? It was making block prominent on blue background. Have a look If this version is looking better or blocks with white stroke were looking good ?
Also made the panda BULK Lolx. Is it looks good now ?
@nimrafayyaz ahh, I see. If you like the text better, I think it should go in place of the panda, similar to the the badge you referenced. That badge has just the text and one graphic.
Would it be ok if I demonstrated what I mean for the panda?
@riecatnor thanks for your suggestions. So are we going with only two graphics Blocks and text ? Is that so ? and I don't get what are you talking about panda can you demonstrate ?
Hi @nimrafayyaz what do you think of these?
looking cool. But I think panda is little more bulk. What do you say ?
Oops, I forgot to upload a png.
@nimrafayyaz can you clarify what you are asking, please? Thanks :)
@riecatnor I am saying that panda is little more chubby and occupying more space. when number of modules increase there will be no room for more blocks. What about these? I have slightly reduced the size of panda and created module 3 and 4 blocks too.
