I may need to clean up the commit history, since I've been doing quick iteration the commit messages are not very glamorous.

I've been working off my fork for a while, but since there has been some interest in others helping maintain the packages, we can all work off the upstream repo after this PR!

  • temp-fix: turn off cargo_test for cosmic-files

  • fix: remove no longer needed patches
  • fix: use desktop-file-validate now that upstream recognizes 'COSMIC'

I think you can merge as is since git doesn't detect moved files in this case anyway
