The phrase the proper CHECKSUM file should be replaced with a link labelled this CHECKSUM file pointing to the correct CHECKSUM file. (And based upon the value of the URL for this page and the URL for the CHECKSUM file I eventually located, it seems like it should be relatively simple to generate the required link.)

1. No link for any CHECKSUM files is provided.
2. No reference to Checksum files appears among the links in the footer of the page, nor in the several pages accessed from links that seemed to be relevant.
3. Due to the START by ..., and (then) follow ... wording in the instructions, I investigated several other methods for finding the CHECKSUM file, before eventually googling site:getfedora.org "CHECKSUM file", which returned a link for Doc2. I subsequently discovered that the Doc1 these instructions link also points to Doc2.
4. I am an experienced user of Debian/Ubuntu derived distributions who is attempting to download and install Fedora for the first time. From a Google search, I went directly to Download Fedora Workstation and pressed the Download button. After the download was initiated, I was redirected to the Doc1 URL.

Doc2 Additional information

1. Even though this page contains links containing CHECKSUM in the URL, the text on this page does not explicitly identify those links as being for checksum files.
2. For users coming directly from Doc1, confusion would be eliminated by using the same convention of identifying checksum files as CHECKSUM files.
   • I personally think that using the all-caps CHECKSUM is a bit garish, but if it is an established convention, it should be used in both Doc1 and Doc2.
   • Furthermore, emphasizing CHECKSUM seems a bit dated since the files are created using shasum and contain SHA256 labels internally.)
