I think I'll avoid fedora unless anything improves. but if it does, it will take long time for me to know. about fedora mediawriter maybe it will magically work better with 'fedora media writer'. but I'm not risking it since, its - it is 20 times as big as rufus. rufus -> 1.1 MB. fedora mediawriter for windows -> 20.7 MB - it is not open-source, so maybe its proprietary. rufus is open-source. - it has no sha256 or sha512 checksums. neither does rufus. - is only for fedora OS. rufus is multi-purpose or at least also works for Ubuntu. its mostly the 3rd point w.r.t. first point that makes me back off everytime I think about using fedora mediawriter.
creating new issue, cause people can get pretty irascible about their personal preference, err...

i am closing as its unlikely to get addressed any time soon. and may not be a high priority given rufus exists and could have been sued as base. also, its pretty obviously done by design.
