#193 Migrate to Fedora Forge
Closed by ankursinha. Opened by gotmax23.

@oturpe, @ankursinha, what do you think of migrating the package-maintainer-docs to https://forge.fedoraproject.org/packaging/maintainer-docs? We can set up the permissions so any packager (or limit it to provenpackager members) can make changes, or we can manage the permissions more granularly if that's desired. I know there's also a docs Forge organization but I suggested the packaging one since we already have teams set up there that correspond to packager and provenpackager groups in FAS, and I recall that there was a policy about making this repository open to all contributors like it used to be on the Wiki.

Yes, we do need to migrate to the forge. +1 to that.

About permissions---since we didn't have a way of syncing FAS with the pagure groups here, the guideline used here has been that on received commit access after their first PR was merged.

My understanding of the forges is that every forge group MUST be linked to a FAS group. I see that https://forge.fedoraproject.org/org/packaging/members already exists---is that linked to the packagers group in FAS or another?

I think it should be fine for all package maintainers to have access to the repo, but perhaps we can enforce a "PR only" flow where a PR requires at least one review/+1 to merge---just ensures that at least one other person has had a look---which is similar to how this repo currently functions. Thoughts?

Just a ping to remind everyone that the end is nigh.

Migrated to: https://forge.fedoraproject.org/packaging/maintainer-docs

I'll go open a PR in the main docs repo too, to point to the new URL.
