#12752 SSH Access test hostname does not exist
Closed: Fixed by kevin. Opened by germano.

In the guide https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/infra/sysadmin_guide/sshaccess/
there is a SSH test hostname, called "batcave01.rdu3.fedoraproject.org", but actually it does not exist

$ ssh batcave01.rdu3.fedoraproject.org
ssh: Could not resolve hostname batcave01.rdu3.fedoraproject.org: Name or service not known

This site is only available if you have the .ssh/config in step 2 setup correctly. At that point ssh will go to the bastion servers and then look for the items in *.rdu3.fedoraproject.org from there.

Did you get everything worked out germano?

If you are still confused you could try logging onto matrix and asking questions there.

I apologize, I was missing the configurations in .ssh/config. I now get

Connection closed by 38.145.32.11 port 22
Connection closed by UNKNOWN port 65535

So, you are not in any group that gives you access. All contributors don't have access, only those involved in infrastructure. :)

The easiest path to that if you are interested is joining our fi-apprentice group, but there's some requirements (intro to list, etc).

See https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/infra/gettingstarted/

Let us know if you run into any problems there.
