#12854 Migrate Fedora-Infrastructure tracker to Forgejo
Closed: Migrated to Fedora Forge by ryanlerch. Opened by gwmngilfen.

Working with the Pagure Boards is ... somewhat painful for the Agile work we're doing at the moment. We should get this repo moved to the new Forgejo instance sometime soon.

So, some thoughts. I don't think we should migrate until after f43 release.

There was already some discussion in the more general https://pagure.io/fedora-infrastructure/issue/12737

To focus on the infra part:

  • infra-docs-fpo

Can we just call this 'docs' in the forge side?

  • ansible
  • arc
  • fedora-infrastructure-old-repo (archived)
  • howtos

Any other repos?

We will need to make sure our sync on batcave01 can sync ansible repo from there.

We should check ansible for any calls to https://pagure.io/ repos that we may need to move.

We will need to:

  • create a pr to adjust our docs to point to the new location.
  • make sure we can build our docs/howtos from a migrated repo

@humaton created the org for is in stg and prod.

I think docs are a good first thing to move, we will need to figure out where we need to change docsbuilding to build from the new location.
arc could probibly also move anytime (but also needs a docsbuilding change)
ditto howtos.

ansible needs us to sort the sync listener on batcave01
base tickets needs us to announce and schedule it.

I started with the docs repository migration. I started first on staging.

Here is what I did:

  1. Migrated repository to https://forge.stg.fedoraproject.org/infra/docs
  2. Updated build configuration for docsbuilding https://gitlab.com/fedora/docs/docs-website/docs-fp-o/-/merge_requests/35
  3. The result could be seen on https://docs.stg.fedoraproject.org/en-US/infra/

I will do the same on production tomorrow.

The docs repository is now completely migrated to https://forge.fedoraproject.org/infra/docs

I also updated https://pagure.io/infra-docs-fpo to have read-only issue and added deprecation warning on top of README.

The build is tested from new location and there is a PR for docs on new location to reflect the change.

The PR with the documentation changes is now merged. :-)

This is scheduled to happen tomorrow at 21 UTC. ;)

Wish us luck!
