Describe what you would like us to do:

The #fedora-rust IRC channel on libera.chat is no longer used by the Rust SIG. Last I checked, zero Rust SIG members were channel members.

If possible, it would be great if this channel could be dropped / removed / unconfigured for zodbot etc., whatever is possible to do for IRC channels (I have no idea).

The official Matrix room for the SIG is, by now, a complete replacement for it. The channel topic on IRC has already been pointing people who join the room to our Matrix room for years. The IRC channel is no longer advertised anywhere (I also just removed the last mention from the SIGs/Rust wiki page, oof that page had some majorly outdated information on it ...).

Any time.

Doing something with old irc channels has long been on my list, so thanks for the reminder.

Are you sure we want to completely drop it? if that happens, anyone can recreate the channel by joining it... as long as thats ok, we can drop it.

Yeah, I think dropping it is probably better than keeping it open + around unattended.
