I'm going to upgrade it on pkgs01.iad2 and check logs and datagrepper for errors and messages :)

I've done this and while uploads are not affected, dist-git is not sending messages either.
I've had to hotfix the package to include https://github.com/release-engineering/dist-git/commit/d70acba29773cbbdaddba6413a8fd731ff2fa097 which were discovered when running it there.

There is still an issue that the code is raising fedora_messaging.exceptions.ConnectionException but we do not know why. I have checked the logs server side without seeing any clues there. I thought it could be related to the apache user not having access to the fedora-messaging keys, but I've used setfacl to give it access and sudo -u apache cat /path/to/key works fine, similarly the configuration file is world-readable so that shouldn't be the issue.

Aurélien is looking at updating fedora-messaging in epel8 in the hope that it will give us a better error message that will allow us to figure out what is going on.

In the mean time all ideas welcome to debug this :)
