The group will be used as ACL for packages shared between DNS implementations (e.g. fstrm used by Knot Resolver, BIND, PowerDNS and possibly others.)
I suppose that group type needs to be "git" or something similar, is that right?
Thank you!
It needs to be of type pkgdb and there are a few requirements for these groups. We've documented them in https://pagure.io/fedora-infra/howtos/blob/master/f/groups_in_fedora.md if you could have a look at it
pkgdb
I see! I was not aware of this page. Let me clarify the request: - group name: dns-sig - group type: pkgdb - mailing list request: no
Thanks!
Do you already have an email associated with a bugzilla account that you'll be able to use in the mailing list field in FAS then?
mailing list
Hmm, maybe I misunderstood the https://pagure.io/fedora-infra/howtos/blob/master/f/groups_in_fedora.md document.
Is it required to fill in the mailing list address?
I was originally thinking that it will be "just" simple way to manage ACL and people would receive e-mails on their personal e-mail addresses as they do now so I did not think of creating mailing list, that's yet another thing to manage (= PITA).
The entire group is CC'ed on bugzilla rather than its individual members and for the groups to be CC'ed it relies on the existence an a "mailing list address" set for the group in FAS. So this can be an actual mailing list (that we recommend be private as it could be CC'ed to security bugs), or an alias that RH groups had from RH IT (I guess, no idea how they actually got them).
Okay then, please create new mailing list. Is mailing list membership somehow synced with the pkgdb group?
Unfortunately not :(
Oh well, thanks.

I have created the group, and you are admin of it. I have created the list, and you are admin of it.
You will want to set the list to private and moderate all posts. Then, you will need to create a 'dns-sig@lists.fedoraproject.org' user on bugzilla.redhat.com. The initial email should show up in the list moderation for you to act on and finish the creation.
Let us know if you hit any issues or need anything further!

@pspacek could you please create a bugzilla account for the mailing list?
It is currently being flagged by our script as not properly configured.
Done, I apologize for the delay and thank you for setting this up!
I can confirm that it is fixed. Thanks for the quick follow up! :)
