To restore Conqui Error reporting with backtraces, gdb-minimal should be enough to have that, without bloating the system.

Should it be preinstalled?

I'm surprised to see that gdb isn't a dependency of plasma-drknoqi package already

Possible the "oversight" was due to it already generally being installed by default being a dependency for abrt-desktop (via abrt-addon-ccpp subpkg)

Any objections to adding

gdb-headless does not provide /usr/bin/gdb so I don't think this would work.

We need either gdb or https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/gdb/pull-request/90 to get gdb-minimal working.

We've included full gdb in Kinoite with F39 so will close this one given that the PR to gdb (https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/gdb/pull-request/90) did not get that much approval / traction.
