I am testing this change proposal, using uBlue kinoite-main, which is built upon the Fedora Atomic Desktop OCI images.
sudo rpm-ostree override remove ostree-grub2 && sudo ostree config set ex-integrity.composefs yes sudo ostree config set ex-integrity.composefs yes rpm-ostree upgrade --reboot
Now the useful KDE "low disk space" daemon gives me an error warning, because / now is very small and full, which is expected.

If the Change proposal is accepted, this specific error should be excluded but no other one.
Btw how can I add tags here? Do I need permissions?
I can confirm this. We should probably report this upstream (https://bugs.kde.org/) but I don't know to what component yet.

Looks like it's plasma-workspace, freespacenotifier: https://invent.kde.org/plasma/plasma-workspace/-/tree/master/freespacenotifier

First step would be adding a check for the mount point for / being RO and then skipping looking at it in https://invent.kde.org/plasma/plasma-workspace/-/blob/master/freespacenotifier/module.cpp.
Ideally we should have the list of mount points to look at be a configuration file so that we can set it to look at /sysroot and /var for Kinoite.
/sysroot
/var
