Hey there!
I was just trying out HeliumOS which now ships Plasma 6 based on CentOS Stream 10.
And I was surprised that it didn't contain a single kf5 package, and I think also no qt5 packages.
Meanwhile on Kinoite, I have 40 qt5 packages, and 56 kf5 packages!
Is there a list of packages depending on those? Afaik some KDE Plasma parts were not fully ported to Qt6 yet, but HeliumOS uses the entire "KDE Plasma Desktop" group and has no kf5 qt5? How can that be?
It's maliit-keyboard, the on-screen keyboard for accessibility.
maliit-keyboard
thanks @aleasto, this one package has 96 dependencies?? and maliit-keyboard itself is a dependency of sddm-wayland-plasma and likely others
I looked at maliit, doesnt look good. not a lot of activity, there is a WebOS fork that ported to Qt6 a while ago?

This situation is really bad, is there any solution in sight? squeekboard?

This project might become the future plasma virtual keyboard
Interesting! @apol is that usable yet?
This is kind of a duplicate of https://pagure.io/fedora-kde/SIG/issue/501

It's usable but I wouldn't say it's ready.
Either way, I'd suggest shipping such deps as flatpaks.
I don't think we can ship the on-screen keyboard as Flatpak as it's used for SDDM as well.
