According to https://fedorapeople.org/groups/schedule/f-39/f-39-elections-tasks.html,
today is the last day to nominate:
5 Nomination period - start Wed 2023-11-08 Wed 2023-11-08 0
6 Selection of questions from Questionnaire - end Wed 2023-11-22 Wed 2023-11-22 0
7 Nomination period - end Wed 2023-11-22 Wed 2023-11-22 0

I didn't see the link to the nomination page announced on fedora-devel or fedora-announce.
The elections overview page (https://elections.fedoraproject.org/) also doesn't know anything about the upcoming election.

It seems possible to nominate on https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Development/SteeringCommittee/Nominations, but I'm not sure how many people know about this page.

I think we need to extend the deadline and announce it.

Crap that was my fault, I forgot to announce it to the lists when I posted to the community blog, and this one auto-posts to discourse :-/

I agree, a delay is best for sure and Ill get the schedule updated and an announcement out to the devel lists today with the new dates. Do you think moving this by a week is enough time? So the new deadline for the nomination period will close on Wednesday 29th Nov.

I can create the elections in the app too, I just wasnt sure whether thats more appropriate to wait until elections 'open', but it would be good to have the page at least updated for awareness so I will get that in place as well.

Ok emails are gone out to devel-announce, schedule is updated with extended nomination date and elections app now has x3 election entries created for mindshare, fesco and council.
