#201 Attempt to mitigate change cancelled in the gate pipeline

It seems that the scheduler cancels gate jobs du to the change
CI status that is reset to 'pending' at the startup of the
pipeline.

This changes attempts to remove the 'pending' status of the
reporter to mitigate that behavior change since we updated to Zuul 5.

Build succeeded.
