We wanted to continue our discussion, which started on Matrix.
The critical issue is, whether it is acceptable to bypass the maintainers and make such extensive and far-reaching changes. This is certainly not a good idea.
On the other hand, we are waiting for a maintainers' reaction since amount 1 1/2 years, In the meantime, we are embarrassing ourselves with our outdated and error-prone basic configuration. And this despite the fact that web services are by far the most common use case for Fedora Server users.
We should finally decide in about 2 weeks latest.
