The screenshots on the homepage of the fedora XFCE spin are from fedora 12. I think it would be a good idea to update the screenshots when fedora 17 is released.

Hi, I agree. The best would be for each spins to tell us how to update the content. I've asked them for last 3 releases, without any feedback (only KDE last release I think).
See http://lists.fedoraproject.org/pipermail/fedora-spins/2012-May/002408.html
That would be great if you can provide us screenshots (same resolution please). We would then be able to update them.
Cheers,

The new layout of the XFCE desktop (the addition of a Dock and the fact that the default position of the panel are on the top), makes it hard to take good looking 240px × 368px and 240x125 resolution screenshots without move the panel (and doing so would break the default setup and make it almost pointless to take take new screenshots).
I see a number possible ways to handle the situation, these are just suggestions.
Decide that we want to implement the same resolution of the screenshots and kind of accept that its maybe looks a little bit strange.
Have a 500x375 (or lower res picture) screenshot on the font page and offer a high resolution (maybe 1024x768) picture when a user clicks on the image, similar to what the KDE spin have today. http://spins.fedoraproject.org/kde/#home
Another option would be to not update the screenhshots but I don't think XFCE will drop the Dock anytime soon, which mean that we will have to tackle the issue anyway (if we ever want to update the screenshots).
fixed, thanks for the screenshots. You're right about the resolution, but this page does not use a static width anymore, so it worked :)
You would be able to check the next hour at http://spins.stg.fedoraproject.org/en/xfce/
And it is going to be online at spins.fpo at release time tomorrow.
need a new screenshot
Updated, thanks for providing the right resolution.
Would appear within the next hour.
