join.fedoraproject.org redirects to fedoraproject.org/join-fedora which now redirects to getfedora.org. I strongly believe that getfedora.org does not provide an adequate replacement for the join content, and the join content serves a vital purpose to the project.
Just now, I intended to direct a prospective contributor to the join page as a starting point. I don't know where else to send them, now. I'm happy to participate (for whatever that's worth :) in replacing the content, but would really prefer to see the existing stuff made available in some way for the short term.
http://join.fedoraproject.org is just an alias we are redirecting to http://fedoraproject.org/join-fedora, which is the real website. It is also correct that all pages of the outdated fedoraproject.org main website should go to https://getfedora.org.
We have setup different redirects and are still facing problems, because many websites, apps and some packages are using the fedoraproject.org files.
The best would be to redirect join.fp.o to https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Join, we are pointing to the wiki also in the footer of getfedora.org, that would be consistent then
Does this work for you?
Redirecting to that wiki page sounds great, thanks.
Ok the alias now goes to the wiki page. Thanks for the nice catch and report.
