Hi, this is a downstream Working Group issue for tracking the following upstream bug:

Why this deserves a downstream issue: GNOME Software in rawhide has switched to dnfdaemon rather than PackageKit, resulting in a serious security usability regression. I want to entirely reject the switch to dnfdaemon on the basis of this issue. We should revert back to PackageKit indefinitely, until the prompt to import GPG keys is removed, or forever if the prompt will not be removed.

I strongly disagree that switching away from PackageKit should be blocked over one dialogue pop-up

Milan has agreed to remove this prompt, so we don't need to debate it in the Working Group.
