Hello Fedora Workstation WG! I found the following issue under 'good first issue' on the https://github.com/fedora-silverblue repository: "Install Extension Manager as Flatpak by default #399". It is issue number 399, which is a follow up to the now closed issue 288 ("Move Firefox from base image to Flatpak")
Would the Workstation WG be interested in: - Endorsing Extension Manager as the preferred extensions management tool - Potentially shipping it as a default Flatpak on Fedora Silverblue
I am a first time contributor, let me know if I can go ahead with this issue. I am linking the issue here: https://github.com/fedora-silverblue/issue-tracker/issues/399#issuecomment-3739117576
Thank you!
Adding third-party apps to Fedora Workstation is very unlikely, but I'll add this to our meeting agenda anyway and we'll see what others think.

Hi, sorry but the Working Group agreed to reject this request.
My take: our goal is to prioritize official GNOME core software. Third-party software installed by default should be kept to a minimum. Users often complain that even the official core software is "bloat," so the bar for including a third-party app should be very high.
This is not to express any opinion on the quality of the app itself.
