We might consider removing gnome-shell-extension-background-logo (the "fedora" logo in bottom right corner) from the default Workstation (and Silverblue) install. This Shell extension has regular compatibility issues with newer GNOME (and/or Fedora) releases, needs to be updated before every new major GNOME release, and has been completely broken in several final releases of Fedora Workstation. When I asked if this was a release blocker, I was told that this extension is no longer considered an important branding part of Fedora Workstation.
This extension is also known to cause performance issues, flickering bugs, issues with HiDPI and other random problems.
Do we really want this to remain pre-installed and enabled by default? KDE and other Fedora variants (except Workstation and Silverblue) never had such a logo.
