I really dont see this as a FESCo issue. there is a desire to use unified tools and single code paths for appliances and livecds. right now we dont have tooling that does both and fits into the releng workflows and processes. its being worked on by various folks, mostly in the cloud sig, over time something will come forward and be addopted by releng. until then we will continue to use the tools we have.
