#1138 F20 System Wide Change: Unversioned Docdirs - https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Changes/UnversionedDocdirs
Closed Opened by jreznik.

As Toshio pointed out - https://fedorahosted.org/rel-eng/ticket/5655#comment:9, this Change should be implemented before mass rebuild. I was asked to create the ticket in advance, in case action would have to be taken a bit earlier.

Change Proposal was announced on devel-announce list on 2013-07-16.

To speed this up - +1.

I'd welcome if FPC could take a look to make sure that the specific proposed patch to redhat-rpm-config is correct (to minimize the risk of having to do another mass rebuild).

+1 from me.

So as not to take unnecessary credit, mitr is the one who added this to the mass rebuild tracker.

Usually FPC has the packaging-team or the redhat-rpm-config maintainer look at the changes to redhat-rpm-config.

I don't really feel too strongly about this, I guess I am a weak +1 as it does help some use cases.

I am +1 to this - frankly the versioning of doc dirs always irritated me

I'd be +1 to this as well; stable paths for documentation are a good thing.

%_docdir_fmt patch for redhat-rpm-config
0001-Drop-version-from-doc-dirs.patch

The intended redhat-rpm-config patch is attached -- I've checked Mageia and openSUSE and they define it this way too.
