#1381 Nonresponsive maintainer: odysseus
Closed Opened by leigh123linux.

= phenomenon =

None of the theme packages he owns have been updated for gtk-3.14 changes.

= background analysis =

I filed a bug months ago

https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1160210

I have also emailed him a couple of times (last time 2014-12-20) and applied for acl's for zukitwo but received no response.

= implementation recommendation =

reassign zukitwo to me

Hello.

Please follow the Non-responsive maintainer process http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Policy_for_nonresponsive_package_maintainers

E.g. from what I can tell, you didn't ask on devel-list if anyone knows why is the maintainer unresponsive.

I skipped this stage as I don't subscribe to the devel-list.

That's not an acceptable answer. Please send a message to the list (or ask someone else to do it for you and report the result).

Is it acceptable to force me to join devel-list?

answer = no

so feel free to do it for me if your that bothered by it.

If you're not willing to follow a simple process, nor be on the list that package maintainers are expected to be on, then I don't know why you think FESCo would be willing to reassign packages to you.

Your request was probably opened in good faith, but your follow ups are pretty unhelpful.

Email is send to fedora-devel list.

If you're not willing to follow a simple process,

Where does it state step #4 is a must or that I must join the devel-list?

http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Policy_for_nonresponsive_package_maintainers#Outline

There is no answer since 12 days at fedora-devel list.
So i think nobody knows to contact him or this is far from any interest at devel list.
I suggest to apply this request, there is no need that cinnamon users have to bleed.

It has now been over two weeks with no response from fedora-devel and a month with no response to the bugzilla ticket.

I'm starting to wonder where I post a ticket for nonresponsive FESCo.

If this is discussed on today's FESCo meeting, I am +1 to the reassignment.

No need to discuss at the meeting, that +1 is enough per https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Policy_for_nonresponsive_package_maintainers step 6. Please continue with the SCM admin request.
