I would like to apply for provenpackager privileges to help with Fedora's transition to Python 3 initiative.
The main reason for this application is my current work on fixing ambiguous Python 2 dependency declarations (e.g. from python-foo to python2-foo) announced on Fedora devel mailing list following the Mass Package Changes policy. I am filing PRs with automatically generated patches, which get merged if there is no reply/issues after a week. PRs merging is currently done by a provenpackager from Python SIG, and it would help a lot if I could do it myself. I always try to reply to anything the maintainers find wrong in the patch.
python-foo
python2-foo
I am also one of the maintainers of python2 and python3 packages in Fedora and co-maintain various others, see https://src.fedoraproject.org/user/ishcherb
Thank you for considering this request.

I'm not sure if I get a vote, but definitely +1.
According to policy, a FESCo member is supposed to send an e-mail to the "sponsors" list, but I see no such list in hyperkitty. I did find a packager sponsors Pagure project, so I've filed a ticket there instead:

Yes, you do as a packager sponsor.
+1 from me.

Its not a list it's an alias for all people in the group... the only confusion here is which ticket to vote in now, but I guess if we tally them both up that works.
+1 on the request from me.
According to the policy , I need to "get at least 3 positive votes with no negative votes, over a one week review period, to be automatically approved." More than a week passed already, and there was no change :) Can I help in any way to move this request forward?
I've added you to the provenpackager group now.
Use your powers for good.
