Live images already have size problems, you cannot require their maintainers to include yet another package of dubious value. IMHO we cannot accept this feature without buyin from the teams/SIGs responsible for the live images, at least the GNOME maintainers (the RH Desktop Team) and the KDE SIG (in particular Sebastian Vahl, KDE SIG's Live CD maintainer).

Sorry, I didn't see this here till just now. The size impact we are talking about is 50-100K/700M. As mentioned in the talk page on the feature (the thread it links to), this needn't be included in any spins to be a feature. It can simply be in the repo, available for download, though again, I think for 75K, it is well worth putting in all spins.
This feature is rejected as a feature, however, the package should be reviewed and added to the repository.
