Allow users to optionally use update-alternatives to make /usr/bin/ld point to /usr/bin/lld.

Since this isn't about changing the default, or even introducing alternatives where they weren't used before, and just about adding another alternatives entry, I think this is very safe and doesn't even require a Change page.
