While I personally am looking only for a resolution to the rxvt-unicode issue with ncurses-base, I think the project as a whole should be interested in resolutions to all the CVEs in the above. I am wiling to maintain rxvt-unicode if it comes to that, but none of the other packages.

Since the email threading got a bit weird, note that awjb has responded to the thread (in private), but not to my follow-up. While I appreciate Andreas beginning work on this longstanding issue, I do not feel comfortable halting the nonresponsive maintainer process when so many CVEs remain unaddressed, even after this long.

This is a ticket for the Fedora's Policy for nonresponsive package maintainers.

My rationale:

I see that @awjb has technically responded but they are clearly not following https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/fesco/Package_maintainer_responsibilities/

Hence, I see no harm in adding you as a co-maintainer. Whether or not to orphan all the other packages - I can still agree to that iff there is no resonable response by @awjb here - which is exactly what happens if we approve this.
