I, as a maintainer of Modularity documentation https://pagure.io/fedora-docs/modularity, was contacted by a documentation team that I should move it to Gitlab.com https://gitlab.com/fedora. That's a grand plan of the documentation team to move all the documentation there https://discussion.fedoraproject.org/t/move-docs-to-gitlab/35777/, https://discussion.fedoraproject.org/t/gitlab-migration-plan/38092.
That was news for me because I don't remember any mention on devel mailing list. I spoke about this with @churchyard and he also does not remember anything. So, I'm filing this ticket to increase awareness about this change.
To be clear, the reason Petr was contacted was because the modularity repo is in the docs namespace. Since the docs team isn't the maintainer, I'm have no objections to leave it on Pagure (preferably in a different namespace to be more clear about who maintains it).
I am just worried that changes that are going to impact the lives of Fedora "developers" (as many of them contribute to docs) are not discussed on the devel list at all :/
Anyway, I am not sure this ticket is actionable for FESCo. For awareness, maybe a devel thread would be better?
I don't think there's anything actionable for fesco here. What do others think?
Yeah, let's close this.
