The users szeth and nickfarrell are in the packager group, signed the eula, yet cannot be added to packages with commit+ rights, only with ticket rights.

I'm not sure why that is. For example, if I try to add these two to python-pyvat or python-accept-types

They will need to log out and back in on src.fedoraproject.org at least once after they have been added to the group, since group memberships are only synced at login.

You can verify this is true by checking the "Groups" here:
https://src.fedoraproject.org/user/szeth/groups

It currently lists zero groups. After they log out and back in, it should list the "packager" group.

(Not sure why this is a FESCo ticket and not an infra ticket, but I didn't want to withhold the most likely solution just out of spite ;))

sorry, yes it should have been an infra ticket. I had just filed a fesco ticket for a group and accidentally used the same tracker for the next bug.
