The filter foomatic-rip will reject any values of PPD options FoomaticRIPCommandLine, FoomaticRIPCommandLinePDF, and FoomaticRIPOptionSetting. Users are able to scan drivers of their installed printers by the tool foomatic-hash, which outputs a file which is used for allowing the found values for the filter.
Owners, do not implement this work until the FESCo vote has explicitly ended. The Fedora Program Manager will create a tracking bug in Bugzilla for this Change, which is your indication to proceed. See the FESCo ticket policy and the Changes policy for more information.
REMINDER: This ticket is for FESCo members to vote on the proposal. Further discussion should happen in the Discourse discussion linked above. Additional discussion may happen on the Fedora Devel mailing list.

Hi @amoloney !
The issue got the +3 within the week - is a bugzilla ticket going to be created soon?
I go AFK since today's afternoon and return on August 25th, so it would like to be sure there will be a ticket when I go back online which I can use for pushing the change.
Ideally I would like to state the status of the change (it is completed and prepared on separate branch on my personal fork) on the ticket and state the fact I will merge it on August 25th, so meet the completion deadline, but probably stating it here will have to suffice.
Thank you in advance!
Tracker bugs in bugzilla are only created after Changes are officially approved by FESCo - which hasn't happened here yet. However, it has now indeed been 7+ days since the ticket was created, so this is APPROVED with (+3, 0, -0), still pending announcement with next week's FESCo meeting agenda.

Just to be clear: it's approved immediately and you may start working on it. The announcement is a formality to make sure everyone knows about it.
Announced in today's agenda.
