Hello, dear Fesco. We got a ticket in releng, which requires fesco approval. golang-modernc-ccorpus2 package seems to be the largest within our packages. Its size is actually 355MB, because it has the assets.go source archive committed to the repo.

The ticket in the releng repo explains the problem in more detail. Also, it has a bugzilla ticket opened against it.
I would like to hear Fesco's recommendations for such a case. Remove commit, sure, but how?
If you're fine with changing a commit structure for this cleanup, and we get enough +1s, Releng will proceed with this issue.
+1
-1 for the same reason as #3496
+1, same as in #3496
Thanks for the approval!
@amedvede, these are just votes. The actual decision is yet to be formalised.
If fesco votes were this simple, we'd get a lot more stuff done :D
Didn't know that xd, okay, let's wait for the decision then.

So how does the approval work? After getting votes, will it be discussed at the FESCo meeting, and will a decision be made there?

This is still blocked on the resolution of #3496.
Issue #3496 was resolved today. The resolution applies to this case too.
