On Tuesday, February 2, we reached the Change Checkpoint: Completion deadline (testable).

We discussed this during today's FESCo meeting (meeting log starting at 18:58:53).

Changes up to "mkosi-initrd" were discussed during the meeting, which is the point at which we hit the end of the meeting time slot. I have updated the table above to reflect what was discussed.

Notably, three Change Proposals that have already been postponed (some multiple times) have been explicitly rejected for Fedora 44+. If these should still land in the future, we ask Change owners to prepare updated proposals and submit them again for a future Fedora release:

  • Unification of boot loader updates, phase 1
  • Erlang 27
  • kTLS implementation for GnuTLS

@alking please process these three accordingly.

/me updated the table above to reflect that the "Podman 6" Change Owners have indicated that this will not be ready for Fedora 44 and have requested the Change to be moved to Fedora 45. No other changes since last week.

@alking that's not what was decided.

The first three were REJECTED, not just moved to Fedora 45. The change owners will need to resubmit updated changes if they want to have them land in Fedora 45 or later.

I wonder why Podman 6 was moved to F46 after being moved to F45?

I think there has been a mistake here. I don't see this change being discussed in https://meetbot-raw.fedoraproject.org//meeting_matrix_fedoraproject-org/2026-03-03/fesco.2026-03-03-18.03.log.txt and it has already been implemented for F44 so moving it to rejected without a clear reason is not OK.

@alking Please move this change back to F44.

I had already set the status of the bug to MODIFIED in https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2342224#c8, which is the state that is expected for the "Change Checkpoint: Completion deadline (testable)" and was asked for in https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2342224#c11.

I've realized that I was the only owner of the change to be CC'ed on the BZ while there was 2 other people in the Change Request wiki page. It would be good if the change wrangler could make sure all the owners mentioned in the wiki page are CC'ed on a change BZ. CC @alking.

But I agree that there could have been more updates from my side on this one. Sorry for that.
