#3572 Unreachable maintainer: etrunko
Closed: Insufficient data by decathorpe. Opened by lecris.

Bouncing this ticket originally for releng: https://forge.fedoraproject.org/releng/tickets/issues/13233

According to bugzilla interface, the email that they are using is decommissioned. What are the procedures in these kind of cases?

I have checked the inactive packagers tickets but they were not listed there, but I don't know what activity they were marked active for because pagure does not appear to be it (could be PR and comment activity that is not shown there).

The process is:

https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/fesco/Policy_for_nonresponsive_package_maintainers/#notes-for-invalid-email-addresses

Hi, for this maintainer I want to point out this thread:
https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/devel@lists.fedoraproject.org/thread/FEGHK4WGV3EKHT2O4PW4IGLMZ3ZBVWFW/

His etrunko's email in FAS needs to be updated because it has his old email he can't access anymore. He posted his new email in that thread.

I just sent etrunko an email to his working email to ask what he would like to do.

@duffy, thanks for reaching out, I have now updated my email in FAS.

Although I am not a Red Hat employee anymore, I am still active in Fedora, but I don't remember how I ended up being the maintainer of this specific package. I used to co-maintain and build some of the mingw packages for RHEL long ago, because our team was responsible for maintaining the official virt-viewer build for windows. This looks like a dependency for that build.

And to make things clear, I am currently not able to take the responsibility of maintaining this package for Fedora, unfortunately. Now, looking at my profile, there are many other similar packages that will need maintainership. I'll send the list to the devel ML.

@lecris can this be considered addressed now?

Yes . No idea how to close this as, so will let you have the fun decision there :)
