= Proposal topic =
Propose adding the LessFS package as a technology preview to Fedora 15
= Overview =
The LessFS project is continuing development at a good pace and provides an incredibly important piece of technology for todays enterprise environments - data deduplication. An invaluable asset to disk based backups, it is also starting to be used heavily in virtual machine storage. LessFS is Open Source and provides the valuable technology of data deduplication to Linux.
= Problem space =
There is currently (AFAIK) no data deduplication tool within Linux.
= Solution Overview =
Providing LessFS as a technology preview in Fedora 15 will broaden the horizon of the project. More eyes will see the project and have a chance to play with it. Providing a standard installation method for Fedora users will also greatly improve the package.
= Active Ingredients =
Not sure what is meant here, but the package is currently under Review Request, but appears to have stalled somewhat.

If you would like this to be a feature, why not use the Features process:
http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Features/Policy
Follow that and we can review it once it's back to that point in the process?
Closing this as a dup of #498.
Thanks.
