I want to add Michael Stahl mstahl@redhat.com (aka "mstahl") as a co-maintainer for LibreOffice.

Currently though, "mstahl" must be in one of these groups: ('cvsadmin', 'packager', 'provenpackager', 'newpackager') to hold the commit acl".

I'd be very happy to have mstahl as a co-maintainer.

I have sponsored them into the packager group. You should be able to have them apply for acls now.
