#35 [workshop] Running a Fedora-based workstation on Power hardware (alt-arch)

With the introduction of the Talos OpenPOWER platform [1] it is now possible to run a Fedora-based workstation on a beefy non-x86 hardware, on ppc64le in this case. In this interactive session I will report how far I got in switching to a non-x86 workstation and we will discuss the openness of the platform, the current limitations and known problems, we will talk about porting apps to the Power (ppc64le) architecture and more. And we will include discussion about alt-arch issues in general.

I regret that we are unable to accept this talk this year. There will be lightning talk sessions and I encourage you to consider this option.
