#458 Update the API documentation

We are currently missing some API functionality in our documentation such as how to cancel a build. We should add that to the existing README and update any outdated information. We could alternatively replace our API documentation in the README with https://apiary.io/.

Ralph says -1 to apiary.io, feels like scope creep. If we really care about that, let's file a separate issue.
