Currently, we can restrict the usage of services to specific euid in gssproxy.conf. However, this is not portable across distros, and also makes the file somewhat opaque. There should be a way to specify a symbolic username as well.

What does symbolic user name mean and how you envision it would look like? Can you put a comment with an example?

A user name
ie "apache" instead of just 48
