As discussed on the infrastructure mailing list in... august? Descriptions are not perfect (many were imported from apps.fp.o) but I removed what seemed outdated, which i believe makes them good enough for now.

I think zanata is getting replaced by webplate, I am not sure if this is done yet or not. Maybe @jibecfed can provide more info here

This is going to be shutdown and replaced by the Centos pastebin but I guess the URL will be a redirect. I just wonder if we should update the text to reflect that.

Should we mention mdapi here ? @pingou what do you think ? I think also maybe PDC since we are still using it, I think there is also MBS for building module.

New translation platform URL is https://translate.stg.fedoraproject.org/projects/ (for now in staging, but I'll ask for a redirection once contractual stuff are finalized by @bex )

While it has no impact, I would also appreciate to see a category named "Localization" with transtats, Zanata and Weblate all grouped together.

Note about infrastructure roles:

  • I think transtats is on openshift and maintained by Sundeep?
  • Zanata has no infrastructure support, we only have one contact at RedHat able to restart the database if required
  • Weblate's infrastructure is a paid service (assumed by the weblate company)

  • Add MBS UI, PDC and mdapi to the application index
  • Add localization section to the app list, add entry for weblate
  • Replace paste.fp.o by paste.centos.o

Quick bump: I addressed the comments in the above commits.
