Once this pull request [0] on toddlers is merged, the mention about deciding whether a branch is stable or not based on presence/absence of EOL won't be needed.

I was intending to send a different PR which would specifically say that we should set an EOL at branch time, but was waiting for the toddlers PR to be merged first.

I think we didn't set the eol in the past because there wasn't a reason? but I guess @adamwill has a openqa test now that expects us to set one...

yes. we do set an EOL for the release in /etc/os-release and in the schedule, so it makes sense for Bodhi to have one (and for it to be the same). this is what the test checks.
