Hi, I'm not able to build rpms on RHEL6 (which we want to support) if those macros are removed.

@tkopecek can you elaborate more? also by rhel you mean epel or rhel?

E.g. python2_sitelib macro is not defined in RHEL. It is defined only in EPEL, so rpmbuild will fail due to non-existing path in vanilla RHEL.

The spec file has shifted a lot. If some of these changes are still relevant, then you can re-open
